Tonight is the SL bloggers party… I’ve been neglecting SL and blogging in general to do Legend Land stuff.

Here’s to getting back on track.

99 degrees here, and I’m ready to fall over, even in my air conditioned house.  I’ve never done well in the heat and Missouri is really bad with humidity.  So..?  I tossed my avatar in a bikini and it made me happier.

I also bought my first ever pet on SL, an adorable kitty from Zooby’s.  My own calico is curled up next to me in an anesthesia-induced sleep after getting spayed this morning (The vet said she’d probably sleep almost nonstop until tomorrow).  …She’s never been so easy to pick up though, it’s kinda nice.  Her ‘brother’ kitty is hiding in the closet though, in fear that I’ll take him out in the carrier next.

If this is your first BBBC… What did you get out of your experience? Do you think it will change the way you blog in the future?

I managed to get up off my butt and just write. Really, that’s the best thing about the whole thing. I finally said “Yep. Doing it no matter how tired I am.”
….And believe me, I’m exhausted. How will this change the way I blog in the future?  Well, I won’t be taking anymore challenges when I’m scheduled for crazy shifts.

I think I’m also gonna just…write.  Doesn’t matter what it is. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to sleep. After I clean the litter box and figure out why my cat is trying to crawl into my discarded jeans…

Topic #5 – Blogger’s choice! Write about anything that’s on your mind!

Why is work in SL so much easier than RL? ..Oh, because doing a two hour DJ set is easy, while a twelve hour shift in the emergency department isn’t. Granted, those who make clothing and buildings and textures and awesome things have a harder time than others…but oh man.

Too tired to even be on SL tonight. I’m logged on (for a few more minutes, at least) but not paying any attention.

So that’s what’s on my mind. I want an easier job. ;_;

SL Bloggers – Is your avatar more or less your current biological age? Do you portray a younger avatar, or older? Why is this?

..My avatar?  My avatar changes daily.  I don’t have a single shape, skin, or hair that I always wear…and my avatars can vary in size and ‘age.’ …Mostly because I’m a roleplayer, and I play a very wide variety of characters.

One avatar is a 15 year old teenager.  I don’t ever take her anywhere except the RP sim I play her in…it’s a ‘safe’ one, by the way. Nudity/sex/etc isn’t allowed, even for ‘grown up’ avatars.

Then I have several twenty-somethings, closer to my own RL age of 25.  I also have several older characters, up past 40.  Alas though, it’s hard to show age in SL. …Hey skin designers? A mature line– and by mature, I mean older than 30, line of skins would be awesome.

Lately I’ve been on a fitness kick. …Sort of.  I’m exercising, but my eating habits just aren’t the best yet.  I’ve cut out a lot of fast food, but tonight I went to my mom’s house and she made pork chops and pasta and it was SOOO good that I had to have two servings. …Granted, right after that I hit the track, but still…

In SL we don’t really have that problem.  We can be gorgeous and skinny without any problem.  I gotta wonder though, if we could do the same in real life, how many people would actually take the hard road and work out to be pretty?

REALLY?

SL Bloggers – How hard do you think it is to find a relationship in SL? If you have an SL relationship, have you met in the physical world? Would you meet them? Do you think it would change your SL relationship if you met?

I will have to think of another topic to write about today a bit later.  I think I waxed poetic enough about this in the previous day.

Today I had a wild idea.  While off doing errands I said “Self? Get some shorts and a top, and go running tonight.” …I replied with “wtf, self…” But I did it! I grabbed two friends and we ran/jogged/walked the track for an hour tonight.

So what did I do after getting home? Got on SL, tossed a pair of sweats from Pop Fuzz on my avatar and found a gym in SL.

Also? I’m living in this Tuli skin now.

Now, if only I could come up with a permanent format to my posts and pictures..

Today’s question for the Big Bad Blogger Challenge is this-

SL Bloggers – Write about three positive things going on in your Second Life.

Oh, where do I even begin with just three?  The most obvious of course, would be that which has most affected my real life.  A few years ago, despite being very against internet relationships (I did that in high school and that was more than enough) I met a guy on Second Life, in the Midgar sim.  He had newb skin, Bare Rose clothing and hair, and had the stupidest character name ever.  X.  Yeah.  I’m serious.  X.  My character and his hit it off, and we became good friends.  After the summer was over, he left to go back to college and abandoned us all.  Jerk.  I was devastated, but didn’t let anyone know. …people figured it out anyway.  I had fallen for the guy behind the character, and was angry at him taking off.  When the next summer rolled around and he came back, I actually had people tell me not to get too attached because he would do it again.  ….I never listen to what people tell me.  It’s a character flaw.

Fast forward.  A few days after Christmas of 2008, I picked the man behind Kenji Yalin up at the airport.  …At current, he is looking over my shoulder and snickering because I’m talking about him. He’s gonna tickle me in a moment too, and I won’t be able to finish this blog post.

Ahem.

Nuuuumber two!

I managed to par down to 21 groups.  As someone who has struggled to decide which groups to get rid of countless times, this is a BIG DEAL.

And number three is my new pair of shoes. Best of all? That’s right out of the box. I didn’t have to do any editing to the skin for them to match my Tuli skin nigh-perfectly. Thank you, everyone who ran and blogged for Nardcotix.

Long shift in the ER today… Sunday’s usually aren’t as busy as the rest of the week, making the day drag on…but I had a great surprise when I came home.

I totally won the Nardcotix MANA blogger challenge. :3 Apparently refreshing the last blog was a great idea!

No pictures right now, though I will definitely be blogging my shoes once I get them.

Today’s Topic: Why did you become a blogger? How has it enriched your life?

I’ve been a part of various online fandoms for over ten years now, often writing about whatever was on my mind in various avenues such as Livejournal and various forums…so when I found SL, it was really just a matter of time.

As far as enriching my life goes? Uh… It’s made me marginally better at writing.  I still have a long way to go though.
