Now…onto fashion.

I enlisted the services of my male alt, as Kenji is off at work right now and can’t give me a hand with this. Of all of the designers on the grid, only a few have me with every single release, and even fewer have me when it comes to lingerie. What can I say? I’m really not much of a girl to run around in my underwear.

Naked is better.

Ahem.

Anyway, I’ve been wanting to showcase the GORGEOUS underwear for both men and women by Zaara Kohime for a while now, and never really got around to it. Very rarely do I buy lingerie, but I make an exception here. Well made, and damn sexy.

Who needs a hero? Although, come to think of it, sometimes a hero can be nice, but really more for a challenge brought about by a silly boy bent on saving the world from me. Of course, I really have to remember a few rules and I might just manage to seduce the young man to the dark side.

I’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear this hair and dress, and just did it. Because I can. The hair was a hunt item in the first Crazy Arse Hair Hunt, and the dress is one of my absolute favorites from Wishbox.

I thought about FLF, but the only thing I picked up was the bikini and tank from Kyoot (…Sometimes I really miss her Edgy clothing), and since I’m still wearing the FLF skin with the bodysuit built in, the tank won’t look right.

There’s semi-new Truth hair that makes me happy, but it’s all over the feeds.

I probably just need sleep. Instead though, I think I’ll just do a little blast from the past, and show avatar improvement through my three years on SL. That way I can still take a picture of the pretty Truth Hair and l.fauna skin, but be slightly more creative.

I’m not sure what I think about this. I can remember when “The Bomshell” debuted at the hair fair all those years ago, and the intense wait for that…but the lack of any updates in the last..oh, over a year now? has kinda soured me a little.

…Only a little. I’m gonna go get what I didn’t have yet. :3

When I got home, I quickly tried them on, and was almost immediately disappointed. Even the “large” size clipped into my ankle and the pre-set skin tones were all very dark, even the pale ones. ..But, nothing I couldn’t play around with, right? I spent a good hour trying (and failing) to get a skin tone to work right on my pale avatar, and never did get the ankles looking exactly right.

Glad that I didn’t pay anything for them, I pitched ‘em. There are plenty of other feet walkin’ the grid, so to speak.

So today, as the anniversary gift came out again, I tried once more. After all, I’ve learned more about feet tinting and editing and all that fun stuff, and I’m definitely more familiar with SL controls over even a year ago.

…..I want to like them. I really do. It’s just not working for me. They are BEAUTIFUL. The sculpts are amazing, and the craftsmanship is not under scrutiny by any means. The coloring is just not up to par with other designers who make similar products. The lack of hud is really hurting the shoe.

These are my three attempts at putting in the direct rgb color of my skin to match. I am using a common skin, Sayuri by Tuli, so nothing super out of the ordinary, aside from it having a somewhat yellower tint to it.

I will try again later with another skin, but I think I’m still gonna be sticking with Maitreya, SLink, Coco, and Nardcotix. =\

If someone can walk me through how to get as near to a perfect match as possible, please do. I truly want to love these shoes.

Today an old friend emailed me a story he wrote about Damry and his character Keiran, and that gave me the drive to finish making her in SL. I’m still likely to change the skin around, but for now, this is it.

For this outfit, I found an OLD goth skin from Tuli and used the shape that accompanied it and added hair I just picked up from the Visual Hunt. The eyes? Sadly, no longer available. Or wait…lemme look. Okay, the creator is under a new alt, and does sell eyes again. Hooray! …Now if only Miriel would come back. ;_; For similar eyes, check out Alice Project.
